この文章、どこが間違えてるのか教えてください
あなたの会社で一番安い発送方法で送ってくださいとメールしました。 その時の返信がこれです。 We will look into both USPS and Fed Ex. I always hate to use USPS because IF a package is lot the tracking is non existant. Will keep you posted 両方調べてみる だけど私はUSPSが嫌いです。何故ならトラッキングナンバーがないから。 忠告しておきます。 と解釈しました 私は Okey I know about tracking number. I dont worry it Please send it in USPS if USPS is cheaper トラッキングナンバーのことは知ってます。 それについては心配しません。 USPSのほうが安いならUSPSで送ってください という意味のつもりでメールしました それから返信が来なかったので Could you please let me know w hen you se nt or will send the items? と質問しました sorry i do not understand what do you mean by saying when de we send the items? と返信が来たのですが、 何を理解できなかったのでしょうか？ また私の英文のどのあたりが、彼の理解を苦しめてしまったのか教えてください。

そんなにわかりにくかったとは思えません。それよりも、返信が来なかったということは、「Okey～if USPS is cheaper」というメールを相手が見逃しているのかもしれません。ついでに言うと、一般的には、送料が明確でないのに発送を依頼したりしないものです。 「Okey～if USPS is cheaper」の文面を、送った日付入りでコピー＆ペーストし、その上部に「Did you receive my following email as of （「Okey～」のメールを送った日付）? How much is the shipping fee by USPS?」と書いてメールしてはどうでしょう。その返事が来てから改めて、その返事をコピー＆ペーストした上部に「Okay. Please send me （個数）（製品名） by USPS. When can you ship it（もしくはthem）?」と書くといいでしょう。 相手も英語は母国語ではないようなので、できるだけ平易な短文で書いてあげるといいと思います。

少なくとも、下記の2点に相違があるように思います。 I always hate to use USPS because IF a package is lot the tracking is non existant. vs I know about tracking number. たぶん、 If a package is lost the tracking is non existant. パッケージが”紛失した場合”、trackingが出来ない。 まともに品物が送られている時にUSPSのtrackingは機能するが、紛失等の問題が起こるとその機能は役に立たないために責任が、発送者のもとに帰ってくるから嫌だ！（ほんとか如何かは知りませんが、文脈から推測しました。） これに対し、貴方はUSPSにtrackingの機能があることは知っているので番号を打てば品物がどこにあるか解かるので任しなさいというのですが・・・お互いの視点がずれているような気がします。 a package vs items 先方が送るのは1個で貴方は数個と言っていますよね。 the item, my item or an itemであれば理解できるはずです。

No.1さんと同感です。 If USPS is cheaper...と書いたメールを再度転送して： Please see the email below （←転送したメール） Can you please send the items by USPS? I prefer USPS because it is cheaper. It is OK that it does not have a tracking number. Please let me know when you have sent them. Thank you. と返信してみてはどうですか？

先方の情報は USPS, FedEx の２つの選択肢があるということと、価格は調べないと分からない（先方は FedEx を推奨）という２つです。 こういう場合の作戦ですが、USPS, FedEx の２つの価格は日本にいてもある程度調べられますので、調べてどちらかをこちらから指定するのが賢いと思います。先方はあなたの反応を待っているので、Will keep you posted と言われて待つのは甘いかも知れません。相手が package という単語を使っているのでこの単語を利用し item などとは言い換えません。 tracking number などの細かい議論に入ったり if USPS is cheaper などと「条件」と受け取られかねない表現をつけるのは得策ではありません。Could you please let me know w hen you se nt or will send the items? (いつ送るつもりか？) などという議題と関係ない問いかけはこういう場合の適切なビジネス用語ではありません。担当者が違う可能性があるからです。先ず USPS, FedEx の話を片付けるのが先です。 単純に Please send the package in USPS. とだけ書けば誤解はないと思います。注文番号は忘れず書き添えればよいと思います。

こんばんは。 「item」に商品、現物、品物の意味はありません。 辞書ひいて下さい。 それから「keep you post」 は「絶えず(追って)貴女に(状況を)連絡します」という意味です。

itemを調べてみましたが、項目等の意味が先頭にかかれてましたが、下のほうに商品、品物とかかれてました。 今回の場合ではitemと書くべきではなかったと理解しましたが、興味深いので来週もっと詳しく英語の先生に聞いてみたいと思います ＞＞Keep you post 覚えたいと思います。 ありがとうございました！
