文法の初歩的な質問になってしまうのですが、どなたかご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたら教えて下さい。 Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine Lyrics http://www.lyrics007.com/Guns%20N%27%20Roses%20Lyrics/Sweet%20Child%20O%27%20Mine%20Lyrics.html 上記サイトを見ていたのですが、途中で She's got a smile it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything Was as fresh as the bright blue sky このReminds me of childhood memoriesで 「子どもの頃を思い出す（子どもの頃の記憶を私に思い出させてくれる）」と頭の中で訳したのですが、 よくよく考えるとRemindsは動詞で、文章の最初に来ている事から命令形なのではないかと思ったのです。 そこで命令形にして直すと「子どもの頃を思い出させてくれ（思い出させて欲しい）」となるのですが、どうにも前後関係からこの訳では誤りであるように思われるのです。 むしろ、文章の最初に「It」が省略されていて、 It reminds me of childhood memories であれば、「（それは）子どもの頃 [ の記憶 ] を思い出させてくれる」となって自然な訳になるような気がしますし、remindにsがつくのも納得できます。ですが、このように省略するような文法があったかどうか、正確に思い出す事ができません。 インターネットで検索しようと思いましたが、何をキーワードにして検索すれば良いのかも分からなくなってしまった状態なので、ここに質問させて頂く事にしました。 （「英語 文法 省略 it」で検索しましたが、「It is」が省略される事があっても「It」単体のみ省略されて動詞が残る例が見つからなかった） これらを踏まえた上で質問させて下さい。 １．上記のReminds me of childhood memoriesを本当はどう訳せば良いのでしょうか？ ２．一行目「She's got a smile it seems to me」の後ろにthatが隠れていて二行目に続く文なのかとも思いましたが、これはそのような文章なのでしょうか？ ３．仮に上記２の文法であったケースだとしても「Reminds me of ～」とRemindsからスタートする文章を良くみかけます。その場合はどう訳せば良いのでしょうか？ 初歩的な文法だと思われるのですが、どなたかご教授頂ける方がいらっしゃいましたら幸いです。 宜しくお願い致します。 ※余談ですが、実を言うと「She's got a smile it seems to me」の訳し方もちょっととまどっています。 seemsは○○であるかのように見えるという訳だと思うのですが、 ・彼女は笑っていた。それ（その笑顔）を私に向けたかのように。 と漠然と思っているのですが、どうにもこれで良いか自信があまりありません。 「Reminds～」が質問のメインなのですが、もしできれば、のお願いなのですが、こちらもお分かりになる方がいらっしゃいましたらご教授下さい。

あるオーストラリア人が書いた文章で、うまく訳せない文章があります。 下記の文章ですが、"descending"と"descent"の意味がとれず、それが敗因です。 Before long we were descending into the metropolis of Tokyo. On descent a flood of memories 2 years past came back to me. I remember my first descent into this wonderful city. 東京に「下る」「向かう」というような意味でしょうか？ 但、英語表現に「上り」「下り」の表現はなく、それを言うなら"outbound"や"inbound"が適切だと思うので、この意味ではないようにも思います。・・・が、よくわかりません。 著者の背景としては・・・ 過去に何度も来日している若者で、今回JETプログラムで豪州から来日。 豪州から日本に到着した前後の行程や感想を語っています。 よろしくお願いいたします。
