No.3です。お返事を有難うございます。補足質問にお答えします。 ご質問： ＜本文中の「名詞（security）＋名詞（implications）」のように名詞が二つ並ぶ場合の理解の仕方について教えていただけないでしょうか。前者の名詞を目的語、後者の名詞を動詞として考えればいいでしょうか？＞ それで結構です。 １．この部分の解釈は以下の通りです。 （１）ここはA B of Cという３つの名詞の並びになっている。 （２）このofは主格の用法で、CはBの主語になる。 （３）Bは動詞が名詞化したもので、ここでは動詞として訳す。 （４）Bを動詞として訳す時、AはBの目的語になる。 ２．簡単に言い換えれば A＝security（Bの目的語） B＝implications（Cの述語） C＝the globalization process（Bの主語） となります。 ３．この手順で訳すと （直訳）「グローバリゼーション化が、安全保障面を、巻き込むことである」 となります。 これは「グローバリゼーション化が、安全保障面に何らかの影響をもたらすこと」を言っています。 ４．このような動名詞的な訳で終ってもいいのですが、「影響をもたらす」という動作の部分より、「もたらされる影響」に関心の焦点が置かれていると解釈されるので、ここでは「影響」に焦点をあてた訳になったのです。それが （意訳１）「グローバリゼーション化が、安全保障面に与える影響である。」 という回答No.3の意訳１で示した訳例となります。 以上ご参考までに。
