はじめまして。 ご質問： ＜Don't be so childish. Everything doesn't necessarily go off as you expected. でいいのでしょうか？＞ １．よくできている英文です。Childishの使い方、Everythingを主語にするセンスなど、いいと思います。 ２．動詞はgo offといった複雑なイディオムを使わないで、単純にgoだけで「うまくいく」「（世の中）進む」といった意味になります。またdoも同様の意味で使えます。 ３．not necessarilyは「必ずしも～するとは限らない」という部分否定で、「必然的に」というニュアンスが出てしまいますから、ご質問文の和訳からですと、not always「いつも～するとは限らない」という部分否定の方が合うかと思います。 ただ、主語にeverythingを置いていますから、every not＝all notで「全てが～するとは限らない」という、既に部分否定になっているので、ここではalwaysも不要です。 ４．「思い通りにいかない」という「不変の真理」「世の常」感を出すために、習性をあらわすwillを用いると雰囲気が伝わるでしょう。 ５．expectは「予想する」「期待する」という意味で、「思い通り」の我儘ぶりが出ませんので、ここはそのままつよい願望wantやdesireを使った方がいいでしょう。ここの時制は過去形にする必要はありません。現在形で結構です。 ６．他に「自分の思い通りにする」というよく使われる熟語としては、have(get) your own wayなどがあります。 ７．「幼稚な」は他に、infantile「幼稚な」、immature「未熟な」 などもネガティブな意味で使われます。 ８．以上を踏まえて訂正例、その他の訳例は Don't be so childish. Everything won't go as you want. 「そんな子供っぽい真似するなよ。 何でも自分の思い通りにはならないよ」 Don't be so infantile. Everything won't do as you desire/like. 「そんな幼稚な真似するなよ。 何でも自分の願い通りにはならないよ」 Don't be so immature. You can't get your own way in everything. 「そんな未熟な真似するなよ。 全部自分の思い通りになんてできないよ」 ぐらいになります。 以上ご参考までに。

これは日本語を習っている人(男性）と、英語を話し始めた私の間の会話です。 ---僕が随分ふけて見られる理由の一つに、だんだん薄くなってきてるのがある。 この年ではげ始めてるんだ。お父さんもはげてる。--- という話をしていました。 私は I wish you won't go bald.と言った後、 It doesn't matter to me. So don't worry about that. と言いました。そして I don't care if you go bald someday. と言えばよかったと思いました。 It doesn't matter to me.には「私には関係ないわよ、アンタのガールフレンドじゃないんだから」 というような雰囲気があるのでしょうか。 そうだとしたら失礼だったかなと思います。

英文を読んでて、上手く英訳が出来ないので、どなたか教えてくださぃ!!!(ToT)/ (1)Not so in America,where verbalizing what you feel is expected. As you sit down to a meal, you may find the eyes of your host family glued on you. (2)They just want to make sure that you are enjoying what you eat. (1)ゎ全くどぅ訳したらいいか分からなくて、(2)は『彼らは、あなたが食べるものを楽しんでいるのをただ確実にしたがっています。』と訳して見たんですが、変な日本語のような気がして。。。 お願いします！！！

以下の日本語を英訳してしてみました（同じような文なのですが）。 アドバイスをいただけると嬉しいです。 １ 海外に行けば英語が話せるようになると思っている人が多いですが、私はそういう考えに反対です。 Many people think that you'll be able to speak English as long as you go abroad. But I don't agree with the idea. ２ 英語が上手くなるには留学しなければいけないと言っている人がいますが、基本的には納得できないです。 Some people says that studying abroad is necessary to be able to speak English. But, in general, I don't like the idea.
