日本のいじめについて英語で説明する
某Eラーニングサイトでネット上でスピーキングの練習をしていたとき、「日本のいじめ」の話になりました。なぜ、日本ではいじめが多いの？とアメリカ人の教師に聞かれ、「日本人はほぼ単一民族国家で、人と違うことをする人や、違う容貌の、人と違う環境にいる人（たとえば両親が離婚した、家が貧乏であるなど）はいじめられやすい」と言いたかったのに「The most of Japanese People consits of a race、so that people doing strange or a differentlooking or in the different sitsitudation such as the pearents devorece and a family is poor tends to be bullied at a shool」といってとりあえずわかってもらったのですが、なんだか違うような気がしてなりません。もっと伝わりやすい言い方がありましたらおしえてください。

「consists of a race」と多少のスペル・ミス以外は、めちゃめちゃ伝わりやすいですよ。質問者さんの訳文を活かして訂正させてください。それから、小難しいことを分かりやすく言いたいときには、できるだけ短文で区切るようおすすめします。 「Most of Japan consists of one race. So people doing different things or those who are different-looking or are in different situations, such as parents being divorced or their family being poor, tend to be bullied at a school.」 ちなみに「strange（変な）」ことをする人は、どこへ行っても、よくない扱いを受けますよ（笑）。「different（違った）」ことをする人が特別視されるのが問題なわけですよね。ただ、個人的には、日本がとりたてていじめの多い国だとは思えないんですけど、経験上。

Japan is traditionally single-race nation,we used to live in small community, so we are apt to find and exclude someone who is out of common taste, customs or doing. I am afraid we still carry such tradition deep in mind. Of course, such people are likely to be target of bullying. However, nowadays, it seems target of bullying is becoming wide and in variety. Even normal or average students are being teased by groundless reasons by normal students. This might be coming from the mental stress they suffer from society. 後半は、一般的過ぎて(私自身は違う意見を持っていますが)、余りに 第三者的ですが、これで相手は判ってくれると思います。この後は ご自分の意見を述べられたら如何でしょうか?

Different religions bring with them a different set of morals, food, music, literature, and ways of life. America has long been a destination for religious immigrants.
