次の文を直接話法の文に直していただけないでしょうか。

私も訂正と補足があります。 まず、ご質問にある英文は間接話法を使った構文だと考えにくいと思います。これは「疑問詞＋不定詞」の用法を使った例文ではないでしょうか？ 私の持っている「東大生の英文法」の不定詞の項目に、 「疑問詞＋不定詞」は必ず名詞句を作り、文中で主語・述語・目的語・補語になる と書いてありました。 前回お勧めしました"Understanding and Using English Grammar"にも、"Question words followed by infinitives"という項目がありますが、このような場合に使われる不定詞には、Aliasさんがおっしゃられるように、”should or can/could"という意味を表現するものだと書いてありました。 ここでもう一度、例文をみてみましょう。 （１）Susan asked me how to make a paper crane. （スーザンは、私に折り紙のつるの折方を聞きました。） （１）の主語は"Susan" 、述語が"asked" 、目的語が"me"で、補語が「疑問詞＋不定詞」を用いた名詞句である "how to make a paper crane"ということになります。 ということで、構文の形態が異なるので、この文章を直接話法にすることはできないと思います。 ですが、この文章が＃４でAliasさんがご説明されているような形をとっていたら、Aliasさんが回答されるように、 （２）Susan asked me how she can/could make a paper crane. ＝ Susan said to me, "How can/could I make a paper crane?" （スーザンは、どのように折り紙で鶴を折れるかと聞きました。） になります。 お手数だと思いますが、お時間がおありの時に、ここでご質問された問題の出典をご確認頂けないでしょうか？ 私も英語の文法サイトをいろいろ調べてみましたが、間接話法の例文で（１）の形をとっているものは見付かりませんでした。 もし私の勘違いでしたら、お許し下さい。

こんばんは、私公立中学校で放課後の自習を支援するアルバイトをしております。 先日、中学３年生の男子生徒に話法の転換で、 My mother said to me "please help me." を転換すると、My mother asked me to help her. になるという話をしたのですが、何故、help herなのかと問われました。日本語に訳すと、「私の母は私に『彼女を』手伝うように頼んだ。」となるので、しっくるくる日本語ではhelp meでは？と聞かれました。 私は、命令文の話法は上記のようになる。と覚えているので、生徒に何と説明すれば良いのか困っています。 英語を教えている身としては恥ずかしい質問ですが、中学３年生にわかりやくす説明する方法をご教授願います。

命令文を間接話法にすると次のようになりますよね。 Mum told me “Get up early” → Mum told me to get up early. では次の文です。 My friend said to me “Let's go to the park.” このように、let'sで始まる文はどうしたらいいんでしょうか？

再び回答を寄せていただきありがとうございます。この英文の出典は、高校のライティングの教科書です。話法の項目の中に、askを使った例文として、質問させていただいた例文がありました。 他にも間接話法の例文はあったのですが、この例文だけ、直接話法に直せるのかなとふと思い、悩んでしまいました。いろいろと文法書を調べてみたのですが、間接話法に書き換えて「ask＋人＋疑問詞＋to不定詞」の構文パターンがなかったので、考え込んでしまったというわけです。runee様がおっしゃるように、この文は、直接話法に直すというのは無理なのかもしれませんね。 ご丁寧な回答本当にありがとうございました。（ちなみに、私は高校生ではありません。社会人です）
