もう少し状況の詳細があるとまた文章も変わってくるのですがとりあえずその日本語を訳してみると・・・ But I know that it's not actually their fault. It's the system of this country that's making them act that way. 「それは本当は彼らのせいじゃないってわかってる。この国のシステムが彼らをそうさせてるんだ」みたいな感じです。 ppinguさんの考えた文章だと、日本人相手なら多分「こう言いたいんだな」という察する能力が相手にあれば通じます。でもnativeにはちょっと難しいかも。

なるほど！そっか、餌食にされちゃいましたか。私も経験ありますよ。でも日本人が海外に行ったら結構そういう目でみられますよね。多分、国の体制というより、ある常識がその人たちの間にあるからだと思います。それは「日本人はお金持ち。海外の勝手がわからないから相場もわからない。良いカモだ」っていうもの。日本人って日本語以外の言語はほとんどしゃべれないのに、お金は持ってるから旅行もするし良い物を持ってる。誰が見たって良いカモだよね(苦笑)良心に従う人だったらボろうなんて思わないだろうけど、観光客相手に商売やってたら、人間はずる賢い生き物だし、やっぱりボッタくるということを覚えると思う。その相手として、言葉もほとんどしゃべれなくて、しかも海外に来たってだけでおのぼりさんになってる日本人が標的にされるのは、当然っちゃー当然かも。それを取り締まるのが国の仕事かもしれないけど、でも個人営業の価格設定にまで果たして国が介入できるのか？って感じもするしね(笑)バザーって、それこそ自分で値段設定できることがウリでもあるわけだから、それを国のせいってしちゃうのもちょっと違うのかも？とか思ったりしちゃいました。ちょっと生意気ですかね。気を悪くしたらごめんなさいです。

badlyのように副詞になっているのは不自然だと思います。badlyはbadで良いでしょう。あとは通じるはずです。

テーマはここ数年のニュースで話題になったものというものです。 I was interested in the news which the age of adult should be lowered to eighteen years old. I agree with this idea. Young people these days are overprotected. They can't know anything about the world. It is true that people in their teens still aren't mentally and physically mature. Manｙ teenageｒ don't have a full time job, live with their parents and depend on their parents, However, this is the reason why the age of adult should be lowered. Someday, they will have to live by their own. If they have to be responsible to everything they do, they will become aware that they should be independent. 英文解釈の問題なのです。 What is an idea? It is not just a word, nor is it a string of words. Words are performing their highest function when they express ideas, but they do not constitute the ideas they express. This is clearly shown by the fact that different persons all using the same word may not have the same comprehension of the idea which that word express. but 以下のthey do not constitute 以下なのですが、訳はできるのですが、意味がいまいちはっきりとわかりません。いったいどういうことを述べているのでしょうか。英語力のあるかた、よろしくお願いいたします。

I did not even know that the British Empire is dying, still less did I know that it is a great deal better than the younger empires that are going to supplant it. の英文の意味が分からないんです…。 文全体がややこしいのに加えて、still less did I know…の部分の、didがよくわかりません。なぜ主語の前に動詞がくるのでしょうか、疑問文でもないのに…? とても混乱しています。 どうか教えてください。 よろしくお願いいたします。

ご回答頂きありがとうございます。 なぜ、このセンテンスを伝えたいかというと、 ある国に行った時に、バザールの人たちが、 全てではありませんが、日本人と判かったとたんに、 ２倍、３倍の値段で私に売ろうとしました。 私は、ぼられている事を知らずに、買ってしまいました。 何処に、行ってもこのような状態でした。 あまり、こういう事に慣れていなかった私は、 とてもショックを受けました。 でも、今は、もうキチンと高値で売られないよう用心していますので安心してください。 今でも、嫌な記憶ですが、気持ちを落ち着けて考えて見ると、彼らのせいではないな。。 国の体制が、そうさせているのだな。。と 考える事ができるようになりました。 アドバスありがとうございます！ このように、作るのだな。。ととってもとっても 勉強になりました。 また、英語の感覚がよく解らず、苦しんでいる状態 ですが、頑張ります。 ありがとうございました！
