「～しなければならないとは思わない？？」解釈が難しい英文の和訳をお願い致します。

冒頭の部分は，「暴力に使い道がある」でいいと思います。 ただ，みなさんの解釈で気になるのは，Not only is it morally acceptable. の部分です。まず，文法的に，not only で，「～だけでなく」となるはずで，「道徳的に受け入れられるだけでなく（積極的に戦略として使っていく）」と解釈されます。内容的にも，「暴力の許容度のレベル」は，「正当防衛など法的に許容される」→「過剰防衛など法的には違法でも，道徳的には許容される」→「積極的に使うこともできる」という順序で上がっていくと思います。「使い道がある，戦略となり得る」というレベルで，「道徳的には受け入れられない」だと，（思わず納得してしまいそうですが）流れが逆だと思います。そういう意味で，「行使」「すべき」ともに強すぎますが，「使い道がある」よりもう少し強い響きがあるかもしれません。 I don't think you'd have to kill too many ... の部分も，「そんなにたくさん殺す必要はないと思う」→「少し殺せば，減少するだろう」→「少しぐらいなら殺したっていいと思う」となって，「暴力の使い道」「効果的な戦略となる」につながると思います。
