"Dokoga?" が "Where?" ではない理由

日本人には何造作の無い日本語が外国人には難しい場合って 多いですね。 "Doko" is litteraly translated "what place" or " what part". Therefore "dokode" and "dokoni" means "where(to,at,in what place). In the sentence in your question, "ga" of "dokoga" doesn't introduce the subject but a sort of circumstance. Then this "dokoga" is nearly equivalent to "in what part(point)". Saying more adequately , it also maeas a self-deprecation.

自分で辞書なりネット等で調べたのですが、 「mean」と「meaning」のどちらの方がナチュラルなのかが分かりません。 例えば、「君の涙の理由（意味）がわからない」という文では、 I have no idea what your tear means. なのか I have no idea what your tears meaning. (序文の方は単純にI don't knowでもいいのだと思いますが。。。

> 日本人には何造作の無い日本語が外国人には難しい場合って 多いですね。 ほんとですよね！わかっていただけてうれしいです。照れ隠しでも「どこがぁ？」と言いますね。本心から私の聞く話す英語は2歳児くらいかなと思い、この結果を見て自分でかなり喜んでいます。時々"Stop downplaying yourself."と言われますが。 質問のその時は実は照れ隠しではなくて1#のお礼に書いた通りでした。
補足
もうちょっと聞いちゃいます。"a self-deprecation" ではなく、1#の補足に書かせていただいた意味で "Dokoga?" と言ったとしたら、どう説明したらいいでしょうか？私が誤解していた事から説明しないといけないかもですね。
