ここは、 if he is prepared to undertake ... ,(to) be checked ... and to be clean というように、本来はto不定詞が三つ並ばなければならないところ、二つ目だけtoが省略されてしまった形だと考えるのが妥当でしょう。 もちろん、「正しい」英文を書くのなら、このように三つのto不定詞のうち二つ目だけtoを省略、というのは不適切です。 （これがto不定詞が二つだけ並ぶのなら、二つ目を省略というのもアリですが。） あまり文法的に突き詰めて考えるより、うっかり落としてしまったとか、あまりきちんと「正しい」文を書こうと意識していなかったか、そんなところだと解釈していいのではないでしょうか。 特に、書籍に著すのではなくネット上の記事ですから、あまり厳密な校正もしていないでしょうし・・・

He is not what he was.（彼は昔の彼ではない）は He is not what he used to be.と書き換えられますが。 He is not what he was 10 years ago.を He is not what he used to be 10 years ago.としても文法的に正しいですか？ used to beを使う場合は～years agoと表現することはできないのでしょうか？ 専門家の方に回答をおねがいします。

主語＋seem to be～ と、It seems that 主語 is ～ には 何か違いがありますか？ He seems to be happy. と It seems that he is happy. というような場合です。

Do you know if he can come tomorrow? Do you know if he will be able to come tomorrow? can をwill be able to に置きかえられますか。そして上の２つの文に意味の違いはありますか。 （if 節が名詞節なので will be able to も置くことができますよね。） 文法書でcan のほうの文を見て、if 節が名詞節だからwill be able to も可能だろうと考え始めたのですが、そもそも未来のことなのに、 ・will be able to ではなく、なぜcanを使うのか ・２つの文には意味的に違いはあるのか が気になってきました。よろしくお願いします。
