Maria thinks is the most useful this dictionary. Mariaが主語、thinksが動詞、次に動詞であるisが来るのはおかしい。そうすると続きは考えるまでもないが、あえて言えばthis dictionaryの文法的な役割がない。 I think Yumi likes the best this color of all. Iが主語、thinkが動詞、次にYumiが来るのでthinkの目的語となる節が来るのだと癇癪できる。その節の中ではYumiが主語、likesが動詞、ですが次に来るのがthe bestとなっていて意味が取れなくなります。次に来るのはlikesの目的であるthis colorであるべきです。

(1)goと go toの違い (2)most most of の違い (3)It is [ ]that he will come today. certainly possibly probably likely のうち likelyが正解なのですが、なぜでしょうか？ 形容詞だから。って解説されたんですがよくわからないです・・・ (4)私はこの仕事をできるだけ早く終えてもらいたい I want you to finish this work ～と続きますが、 I want you finishing this work はだめでしょうか？ というより、 単語によってto型はだめとかthatSV型はだめとかありますよね？あれはもう覚えるしかないのでしょうか・・・？？単語はいっぱいあるだろうし、どうも紛らわしいし、参考書もこの単語だとこの型はダメ、この型はOKとしか書いてないので。 (5)副詞の位置について。 参考書には動詞が自動詞のときはその直後、他動詞のときは目的語の直後、とありました。 こういうのも覚えることなんでしょうか？
