＃１です。多分考えすぎでしょうが、 イギリスの王様はヘンリー二世（在位1154〜1189）以来、犬をペットにしています。dip 「水を掬う」に似た意味の dunk「水に入れる」の名詞形 Dunker というペットの犬があります。 臍のまわりを回っているのは、ペットの犬という含みもあってのことではないかと思います。エリザベス女王もコーギー犬を何十匹も可愛がっておいでとか。 https://www.anicom-sompo.co.jp/inu/1731.html

補足情報ありがとうございます。 ＞＞死の踊りは、古いフランスの迷信で、下記のサンサーンスの曲では、7:00 頃に日の出を告げる鶏が鳴いて、終わりになります。 もう数えられないほど、英語で読書し欧州の古典を愛読していますが、、、やっぱり知らない事だらけだと思いました。 SPSさんは、本当に物知りですね。 「死の踊り」も、様々なバージョンがあるんですね。だいぶヴィヨンのものと違うのですね。 ＞＞なんだかこれはヨーロッパ全体に広まっていたようで、ムソルグスキーの「はげ山の一夜」の次のような原曲にはありませんが 楽曲でも広がっていたのですね。 そして、キリスト教文化ではなくて、それ以前のものだったのですね！！ （てっきり、キリスト教的なものだと思っていたのでビックリです！） 背景が分かって聴きますとすごい、情景が浮かびます。音だけで、ここまで表現できるのはすごいなあと思いますね。 ＞＞ こんなことから、ヴィヨンの詩も、言っていることもさることながら、言わない部分に意味があるのかもしれませんね。 本当にそうですね。 と言いますか、言わない部分が多すぎでした。今回の補足情報を頂くまでは、話の流れとしては、クロイソスとギリシア七賢人ソロンの「一番幸せな者」の逸話のヴィヨン流の作品位に考えていましたから。大きな思い違いに気が付きました。 今回も勉強になりました。 ありがとうございます。 また、宜しくお願い致します。
