うまく英語にできない表現を3つアドバイスください。

tommy_bsさん、こんにちは! あらら、回答を書いている間に、no.3の方にお答えいただいたようですね。 折角だから、私の駄文を以下に載せときます。 ------------------------------------- 私からも一つ提案させていただきます。 from now on (これから、今後) がしっくり来ないということですが、単純に、 now (今、今から) というのはいかがですか? I think he is rather kind person. のratherですけれど、no.2さんのおっしゃるように、aが必要になります。 aを入れる位置はratherの直前と直後の2通りが考えられます。 I think he is rather a kind person. I think he is a rather kind person. (彼は結構良い人だと思う) なお、名詞の直前に形容詞がないような場合は、ratherの後ろにaが来ます。 she is rather a genius (彼女ってかなり天才) また、ratherの訳ですが、「割と」や「どちらかというと」のほかにも、「むしろ」、「かなり」、「相当」なども考えられ、ケース・バイ・ケースで表すフィーリングが変わってくると思います。 以上、ご参考になりましたら幸いです。

"I should have asked him." "Do you think he would have given an honest answer?" "I'm not sure. It's possible I would have had to trade something for that knowledge." 試訳) 「奴に聞くべきだったな」 「聞いたからって正直に答えたかしらね」 「わからん。何かと交換しなきゃいけなかったかもな」 この「would have had to」は、文法用語では何というのでしょうか? 未来完了形を過去にずらした用法だと思うので、過去未来完了形…? でも検索しても英文法ではそういう言い回しはないようです。小説などできわめて頻出する用法ですが、文法的には何というのでしょうか?
