１。訳 彼が近代の最高の作品を見ていないことから察して、彼の作品がこうだから、もし彼が見ていたら、、必然的にどうなるかは自明のことだ。 ２。beingの用法がよく分かりません。 下記の１。３３「原因、理由」を表す場合です。 https://eigo-box.jp/grammar/how-to-translate-participial-construction/ ３。またTheyが何を指すのか前後の文からは判然としません。たぶんhis worksを指しているのだと思います。 おっしゃる通りです。 ４。「今の最高作品を見ていないでこれだけできるんだから、見てりゃあ、大したもんができるぜ、きっと」という極めて、単純で、間違った論理ですね、 「見」さえすれば、作品が良くなるのなら、警察はいらない、とどこかの落書きにありましたっけ。
