「昨年の５月に (あなたの) ご自宅に滞在しましたミカです。」と手紙に書く場合、 “I'm Mika who stayed at your home in last May.”と作成しましたが、 この文では、関係代名詞を使った表現がふさわしいでしょうか。 適切な表現がありましたら、教えて頂きたいです。 また、参考書に 「who, whom, which の代わりにthatを使う」 「目的格の関係代名詞(whom, which) は省略かthatを使用」 会話では特にその傾向が強いとあります。 目上の方との会話で、省略やthatを用いてもよいでしょうか。 今回の手紙でも、“I'm Mika that stayed at your home in last May.”としてもよいかなとも思っております。 よろしくお願い致します。

I admire the grace with which you got rid of that awful man. (あなたがあのひどい男をしとやかに追っ払ったのには感心した) 上記英文の"with which"がよく理解できません。前置詞＋関係代名詞なのはわかるのですが。 なぜwithなのか？ またwithを省いたら意味をなさなくなるのか？ などが疑問に思える点です。
