”豊か”、で良いと思います。あるいは”深み”、"付加価値のある”くらいまでなら許されるかと思います。 enrich, richness, richly はシンプルで修飾的な言葉で、また変化させて使っているので、専門用語として使われていることは無いと思います。 もともと守備範囲の広い曖昧さがあるがゆえ、なるべく具体的にしてわかりやすくしようとした時に、”外す”危険があると思います。「より多くの裏付けがある」はその意味、わかりやすくはありますが論文を通して理解した上で、例外なく当てはまれば良いのですが、解釈を加えている文危険でもあります。 ところで、(1) のintuitive theories of physics and psychologyは恐らくintuitive physics:直観物理学、intuitive psychology:直観心理学、から来ていると思います。調べるまで知りませんでしたがそう言う学問分野があるそうです。赤ん坊は目があいた時に、床に転がっているボールよりも天井から吊るしてあるボールを見つめるのだそうです。これは学習の結果ではなく、宙に浮いているボールの方が自分に与える影響が大きいので注意すべきと言う事を、生まれながらにして知っているからで、そう言うメカニズム研究するものらしいです。そうすると、これまでのディープラーニングの様に、とにかく膨大なデータを入力してそこから自動学習して結果を導き、結果があっているかどうかフィードバックする様な仕組みから抜け出して、予め組み込まれた直観みたいなレベルから学習を始めるべきと言っているのかなと思います。それが、 (1)…ground learning in intuitive theories of physics and psychology, to support and enrich the knowledge that is learned 「学習によって得られた知識を裏付け、深みのあるものにするのに、直観物理学、直観心理学の理論を元に学ばせることを、基底に据える」 と言うことかなと思います。つまり、なんにも知らないところから自動学習させるんじゃなくて、予め大事な基礎的な事は埋め込んでおく。 概要と、この質問の中の展開だけから想像すると、「豊か」とは、与えられたり、導き出される情報に、これまでよりも付加的な要素や条件が追加されているか、ニューラルネットの仕組みそのものが付加的な要素を考慮するように作られているのか、あるいは、自動学習のシステムに予め「直観」的な情報を組み込んでモデルを作っているのか、わかりません。なので、もう少し具体的に訳そうとしたらいったん全部理解してからじゃないと危険かなと思います。

語感として「豊か」でいいと思いますけど、ピンとこないと言うことですね。 中身のある、密度の濃い、ぎっしり詰まった、とかではどうでしょう。 to enrich the knowledge 知識を中身のあるものにする・増やす make richer inferences しっかりとした意味のある推論をする enrich these models モデルを充実させる its richness and its efficiency その中身と効率性 richly structured models しっかりと構造化された

深みのある、付加価値のある、というのも内容を汲んでいてよい訳語ですね。ありがとうございます。 直感物理学、直感心理学という訳語は知りませんでした。なんとなく意味は推測していましたが、すでにある訳語がわかるとやはり安心しますね。 この論文はまさに、アルゴリズムに白紙状態から全てを学習させるか？それとも人間が初期知識・能力を埋め込んでやるか？というのが論点になっていて、仰る通り、全体を理解しないとなかなかうまく訳語も出てきません。が、ご指摘いただいた通り、richというのは、そういう初期の埋め込みや、または自律学習の場合は、以前の課題で得た知識・能力を新しい課題に利用するということのあたりを意味しているようです。 たいへん参考になりました。ありがとうございます。
