Question about word order in set in motion and put in mind
- Is it absolutely wrong to use the word order 'set in motion the machine'?
- Is it absolutely wrong to use the word order 'put in mind me of something'?
- I would like to know if the word orders 'set in motion the machine' and 'put in mind me of something' are absolutely incorrect.

●set ～ in motion 「～(機械など)を動かし始める」 ●He set the machine in motion.(彼はその機械を動かし始めた) これは、set in motion the machine という語順では絶対にダメなのですか？ ●put ～ in mind of … 「～に…を思い出させる」 ●The sign on the board put me in mind of something I had to do.(そのボードに書かれていた表示を見て、私はやらなければならないことを思い出した) これは、put in mind me of something ～ という語順では絶対にダメなのですか？

通常は「他動詞」＋「目的語」＋「副詞句」の順番になります。しかし、「目的語」に修飾句・節がついて長くなる場合は「他動詞」＋「副詞句」＋「目的語」も可能です。 set in motion the machine の後にthat he invented after ten years of researchとかがつのくならそちらの方がよいです。 put in mind me of something：meのような人称代名詞には普通は修飾語をつけませんから、meは他動詞の直後にくるべきです。

お示しの文を眺めると、いわゆる５文型の S + V + O + C というのが頭に浮かびます。 目的語をある状態にする、ということを表す文型。 その文型の場合に O と C を入れ替えるということは不可のはずです （そういう文型は５文型の中にはありませんから）。 従って、標準的な英語の語順であるとはいえないような気がします。

i'm in the middle of something このフレーズは間違っているのでしょうか？ 自分は今受験生です 英作文の問題で「今手が離せないので~」というものがあり、上のフレーズを書きました 解答を添削してもらうために英語の講師にもっていったところ、「これは絶対にやってはいけない間違いだ」と言われました 理由は、somethingは実物として存在しているものだからこのフレーズだと自分が物質と物質の間いる状態を表しているのものだからだ、とのことです *ネイティブには絶対通じないとも言われました しかし、僕はこのフレーズをたまたま見ていたテレビのビジネス英語講座のようなもので見ました この手のテレビ番組が間違ったものを教えるはずがないと思いますがこれは間違いなのですか？ それとも大学受験ということに関しては間違いなのですか？ 今すぐにでもこの疑問を解消したいのでどうか回答よろしくお願いします。
