次の各直接話法の文を間接話法に直してください。

1 They said, 'We will boycott television sponsors.'

2 My sister said to me, ' I am cleaning my room now.'

3 Pat said to me,'Please help me with my homework.'

4 Tom said to Susie, 'Do you know where I live?'

5 Yesterday Bob said to me, 'Let's play catch tomorrow.'

1 They said that they would boycott television sponsors.

2 My sister told me that she was cleaning her room then.

もともと say は直接話法向きです。それでも、to 人がない場合、
間接話法でも say that 節としますが、to 人があれば
もともと間接話法に適した tell を用いて、tell 人 that 節とします。

3 Pat asked me to help him/her with his/her homework.

4 Tom asked Susie if/whether she knew where he lived.

5 Yesterday Bob suggested to me that we (should) play catch today.
suggest は tell のように suggest me とはなりません。
yesterday からみて翌日は today に他なりません。

注：Patは、男性名(Patrick)でも女性名(Patricia)でもあり得ます。いずれも愛称です。

4 Tom said to Susie, 'Do you know where I live?'
⇒Tom asked Susie if she knew where he lived.

5 Yesterday Bob said to me, 'Let's play catch tomorrow.'
⇒Yesterday Bob suggested me that we should play catch the next day.
