For instance, news, education and so on. Therefore, many people watch television. My father wants to know the news because his works is related society. He watch television after finish work. Perhaps my attitude to television is the rather puritanical one that most people, and especially childrejm, should have something better to do than watch it very much. rather puritanical oneのoneはattitude thatはpuritanical oneと同格 と書いてあります。 rather～thanというのは熟語ですか？ 文の構造がとれなくて困っています。 できれば、どれが主語でどれが動詞か教えてもらえるとありがたいです。 お願いします。

英語のテキストを読んでいてmoreのつかい方がよく分かりません。 分からなかったのが下記の文です。 -------- I've just stopped reading the newspaper. 私は新聞を読まないようにしました。 I can't stand to look at it any more. もう耐えれません。 Just every day more news about war, and economic problems,and desease. 毎日、戦争、不況、病気など悪いニュースばっかりです。 -------- ３番目の文章でmore news というのがあると思いますが、例えばこれをmanyとかしては、ネイティブの人にとってはしっくり来ないのでしょうか？ 直訳的に、 ただ毎日、戦争、不況、病気の悪いニュースがたくさんです。 このようでもおかしくないような感じがするのですが、なぜあえて比較級なのでしょうか？ 例えば、mostではダメだったりするのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。
