文のつながりが不明です。
以下の文でどのような繋がりになっているかはっきりしません。 I have been working hard to keep up with all the different deadlines we've had getting the new line ready. 新製品の制作にあたり、いろいろな締切すべてに間に合わせるために、精一杯努力して 仕事をしてきましたから。 ”新製品の制作にあたり”、を何か、接続詞なり、関係副詞なりの助けが必要ではないかと 思います。このままの英文では日本語に相当する意味とならないと考えるのですが。 お教え下さい。

★I have been working hard / to keep up with all the different deadlines / (that) we've had / getting the new line ready. このように文を４つに切ることが出来ます。 ★この文は I have been working hard getting the new line ready. という文が大枠です。このgettingの部分は分詞構文と考えればよいでしょう。あるいは、in getting the new line readyのinの省略という考えで理解しても通用するはずです。この場合、接続詞等は不要です。（inをつけたりできますが）。 ★to keep up . . . は不定詞で副詞的にworkingを修飾します。 we've hadは関係代名詞節で、先行詞はall the different deadlines（allがあるので省略されている関係代名詞はthatが適当）です。 訳 新たな行程を準備するなかで、われわれに課されたさまざまな締切に対応するために、私は一所懸命働いてきました。 以上、ご参考になればと思います。

英語の時制についての質問です。例えば、私は2年間その会社で働いていました。という文は I had been working at the company for two years. で正しいでしょうか？ 過去完了の使い方が良くわかりません。個人的な感覚だと、過去完了は 副詞節、主節（副詞節より過去の時制） I had known nothing about it until you told it to me.のように常に副詞節が一緒に使われるということを勝手に思い込んでいます。 そこで、「今までずっとあなたが正しいと思っていた」という文章を訳すと、I had been thinking you are right until nowで正しいでしょうか？

「英語リスニングのお医者さん」という本のスクリプトと和訳に We've been working so hard to meet the deadline. He's got to give us more time. (締め切りに間に合わせるためにがんばったわ。 彼がもう少し時間をくれればいいのに。) というものがありました。私の英文法の知識によれば、上記英文は願望を表さないのです。ところが、和訳は「いいのに。」という願望になっています。これはどうしてでしょうか？
