２）The less you watch television, (the more time you have) for your studies.

have much time の much について the 比較級ですので，
the more time です。

have time much で「たくさん，持つ」というのは日本語的で，英語では名詞の方に much をつけます。

much time でかたまりなので，そのまま the more time

for ～の部分も time とつながっているところはありますが，
後ろでいいです。

そもそも，名詞の後の前置詞句を形容詞句と考えるのは日本語的発想で，
英語では後へ後へと流れていきます。

　The 比較級, the 比較級と考えてしまいそうですが、塊と考えてthe 比較級＋名詞でいいのですね。難しいですね。
