＞女性専用車両とこれとは、どこが違うのかを教えて下さい。 日本には白人はあんまりいないが女性は半分ぐらいいる、という違いです。

初めまして。 英語学習初級レベルのため 詳しく説明頂けると助かります。 宜しくお願いします。 but he was shot because the kid was a black and a policeman is white. という文章なのですが a blackで黒人という事を強調するために 冠詞をつけてa black と言っているのでしょうか？ whiteに冠詞が無いのは 白人という例え方ではなく 単純に白いという表現に変えた為 冠詞が無いのでしょうか？ 表現の違いの問題でしょうか？ a policeman is現在形で the kid was過去形になっているのですが a policeman が過去形にならないのは どうしてでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いします。

お世話になっております。sakuと申します。 「Not only that, but a divorced wife has no rights to her husband's pension ／and would usually be unable to survive financially should they decide to part ways」 なのですすが、「それだけでなく、離婚した妻は夫の年金を受け取る権利がない、そして、・・」からよくわかりません。 ここのshouldはどいう意味でしょうか？？又、shouldの後のtheyとの間はなにか省略されているのでしょうか・・？ アドバイス頂ければ助かります。
