動詞表現での質問文についての疑問と正しい使い方

Gです。 ３の件ですが,個人の感覚的なものです. 非常に微妙なフィーリングの違いはあることはあると思います. つまり、done with itと言って,読み終わる,という意味よりも,使い終わる、つまり、ある調べ事で本の全部を読む必要はないけど,必要な所だけ読むって言う事がありますよね. dome with itと言う言い方をして,使い終わる,という意味なんですね. よって、finishied with itと言う言い方をして,finished using it.と言ってdone with itと言う言い方と同じになります. つまり、使い終わって,とか,読み終わって,もう用がないのであれば貸してください。と言っているわKですね. 微妙な違いと言えば,使われる頻度でしょうね. doen with itの方が多いと思いますよ. 結局同じ意味を持つわけですから,どちらも同じだ、と考えておいていいでしょう. 気にすることはないと思います. ただ、読み終わったら、と言うフィーリングをよりだしたいのであれば,if you have finished reading itと言う言い方になります. 使い終わったと言うのであれば,if you have finished using it.というのがfinishを使った一般的な使い方になりますね. 更に,if you have done using/reading itと言う言い方もします.

平素よりお世話になります。 今日も一つよろしくお願い申し上げます。 I am requesting that you refund the $100. という英文があって、問題集の解説に、 【動詞＋〈that +原形〉】の形をとる動詞、という解説が 載っていました。 ask, demand, insist, request, require, move, propose, recommend, suggest, advise, command, order, urge が例として挙げられていたのですが、 上記の動詞群は、【動詞＋動詞ing】系の動詞と 【動詞＋to 動詞】系の動詞が混在しており、 困惑している次第です。 ただ、それは良いとして、【動詞＋〈that +原形〉】と言った場合に、 ここでの原形と言うのは、３人称単数系でも【S】が不要という理解で よろしいでしょうか。 つまり、 I demanded that he go with me. She recommended that he quit smoking. という英文が出来うるわけですよね。 辞書によると、英国英語では、 I demanded that he should go with me. She recommended that he should quit smoking. になるようですが、 米国英語であっても、 I demanded that he goes with me. She recommended that he quits smoking. にする必要はないということですよね？？？？ いつも質問ばかりで恐縮ですが、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Smokingというタイトルです。 I don't smoke. This is because I am too young to smoke and it is bad for lungs. The number of places to smoke is decreasing.However,I think that it is good.This is because I don't like cigarette smoke. For now,I will not smoke. cigarette smokeで「タバコのケムリ」と通じるか自信がありません。お願いします。
