ご質問の A is greatly different by whether I do this or not. は通じる文ですが最初の部分を、はっきりとした現在にしないで「するかしないか」の結果が出るまでの時間のずれを考慮に入れた、become とかturn out のような表現にするともっと自然に聞こえるかも知れません、例えば Whether I do it or I do not makes a big difference in how A turns out. とも。 A が何か分かりませんので、適当に修正してください。

あなたの文章でも一部直せば問題ありませんよ。 【変更点】 (1)isをwill beに直す→whether以下の結果「変わる」というニュアンスを出すため。 (2)byをaccording toに変える。 次のようになります。 A will be greatly different according to whether I do this or not.

We check whether or not what we have guessed matches what the author is trying to express. 質問なんですが、whether or notは普通whether A or notの形で使われますよね？（もちろんwhether or notの形もありますが） ここではAの部分が長すぎるのであえてwhether or notとしているんでしょうか？

(1)下記の文章が正誤問題でありまして How do you call this animal by English? ×by→○in だとまでは気付きました。しかしHowじゃなくてwhatではないのか?と疑問がわきました。 正しい文を教えてください。 (2)穴埋め問題で We will go there，rain ( )shine．雨が降ろうが降らまいが という和訳付きでカッコには1単語が入ります。 whetherかと考えましたが or notがないと使えませんよね? かといって or だけだと意味をなさない気がします。 カッコに入る単語を教えて下さい。 よろしくお願いします。
