英語の問題で…
「次の文の空所に入れるのに最も適当な語句を、a～dのうちから1つ選びなさい。」 ・If ( ) for your aid, I would not have succeeded in my business. という問題で、選択肢が、 a. there were not b. it had not been c. I were not d. I had not been ってあるんです。 答えは、b. it had not been になるんですけど、何で答えがこれになるのかわかりません。 hadって何で出てきたんですか…？ 全くわかりません(>_<) 解説付きでの回答、宜しくお願いします。

今のことについて 「もし～ならば，～だろうに」 If S 過去形, S would/could 原形. 仮定法過去と言います。 過去のことについて 「もし，あの時～だったら，～していただろうに」 If S had 過去分詞, S would/could have 過去分詞. 仮定法過去完了です。 そして， If it were not for ～「もし今～がなければ」 If it had not been for ～「もしあの時，～がなかったならば」 という決まった表現があります。 今回は，「もしあなたの助けがなかったならば，私は仕事で成功しなかったであろう」 ということで，ぴったり合うのです。
