母語は英語で、わかりにくい日本語で答えるのはすみませんが aoisihoの言ったとおり、templeの話はキリスト教の聖書から来たことです。体はtempleと同じ大切さで、いれずみしたりアルコール飲んだり薬物を乱用したりするのはよくないです。Garfieldはビタミンが食べたくないので、この言い訳を使っています。「ああ、俺の体は大事だから、変なものを入れさせたくない」とか言っています。でもGarfieldの大好きなラザニアにビタミンはもう入っていると言われたので、「しかたない、ラザニアが食べたいから」とか言って、「Even a temple needs his vitamin C」って言うとやっと食べます。 I hope this is helpful.

Do you have suggestions on whether and how to encourage a partner to lose weight? We've talked about it a bit in terms of improving his health, but in terms of heart rate/blood pressure/previous illnesses he's healthier than I am. So I feel bad that much of my motivation is just wanting to be more physically attracted to him.
