"Flashing eyes"をどう訳されますか？

残念ながら、どちらも違います。動詞の flash が「目」について使われる、つまり eye が flash すると書いてある場合は、「気持ちや感情（往々にして怒りの表情」がつよく目に表れる」という意味です。小説などでは目にしますが、会話では耳にしませんね。 訳としては次のようになります。「時折つよく何かを訴えかけてくるような目」、あるいは「ときおり目に浮かぶ怒ったような表情」、場合によっては「鋭い眼光」なども良いでしょう。けっして少女漫画を連想させる「キラキラした目」という意味ではありませんのでご注意を。
「恥ずかしそうに微笑みながら目をくるくると動かす様子から彼女の勝気と弱さが混じりあった興味深い面が覗われた」 大分意訳ですがflashing eyesは目をすばやく閉じたり開いたりする動作だと思います。従って「くりくり」とか「パチパチ」と目（瞳）を動かす、つまり鈍ではなく、賢そうな様子が読んでとれます。きらめく瞳も機敏さ、賢さを表すのでOKだと思います。
