この文についてなのですが・・・ During the 1980's, the question of ownership of artifacts, both tangible and intangible, originating in the world's indigenous societies started to become a major social issue among anthropologists, politicians, and, especially, the indigenous peoples themselves. まず一つ、この文の中の originating in the world's indigenous societies なのですが、訳では「世界の先住民族の社会が生み出した」と訳されていました。 この originating が何故 ing形 になるのかを教えていただきたいです。 また、例文をあげていただけると助かります・・・。 二つ目は、politicians, and, especially, の部分なのですが、 politicians と and の間にあるコンマはその後の文を強調するためのものでいいですか？ 長文読解の勉強をしていたのですが、こういう小さなところでつまづいてしまい、 なかなか前に進めません。文法の本でも調べていたのですが、混乱してしまいました； お力添えをお願いいたします。

＞なぜここは過去分詞じゃないのでしょうか？？； originate を他動詞の「始める，起こす」として使うなら，過去分詞 originated が使えるでしょう。しかしそのときは，「始めた人」を明示しないと中途半端な感じになります。つまり， artifacts originated by the people of/from the world's indigenous societies という表現になろうかと思います。語数が増え，ちょっとくどい感じになりますね。
