今回は真面目にお答えします、 絶対じゃないけんど、 stand for → stand or stand against 「stand for」 「~~~を我慢する」の意味もあるが、「~~~を支持する」「~~~に味方をする」のより主要な意味もあり、此処ではやはりその意味(我慢する)がより鮮明に出来る、、、、、、、、 「stand」「stand against」の方がよろしいかと、、、、、、、、、 何れにせよ、この問題は「毎違いとは言えないが、間違っている可能性(言い換えれば、もっと他によりよい言い方があるかもshれない)があるかも知れない箇所を指摘せよ」なら成立します。

We can hardly imagine thought without language,not thought that is precise. これは、ある参考書からの抜粋です。 文中の「not」は、「We can not imagine thought without language」の省略だと解説されていました。 ここで疑問に思ったことがあります。「not」と「hardly」を入れ替え、「We can hardly imagine thought without language,hardly thought that is precise.」（意味は異なりますが）という文は可能でしょうか？
