その提案では、すべての耐久消費材(自動車、住宅等)は、適格口座外で購入された資産として扱われます。 耐久消費財の購入については控除が認められず、耐久消費財の売却による受領額は課税ベースに含まれません。

    Q. Opposite of hoarding?: You field a lot of questions about hoarding behavior. Is there such a thing as the opposite of a hoarder? I’ve been dating a guy for a few weeks, he has seemed great and without obvious quirks ... outside of his house. He lives alone in a big house that is very empty. There are several totally empty closets and bare shelves. There is not a photo or picture to be seen. He takes mail from his mailbox directly to the trash bins outside and sorts it there. 下の文を和訳していただけませんか? We have looked at the way we project human qualities onto both inanimate objects and animals. But, we also project gender. The title is part of a well-known ritual whereby a ship is launched and blessed. Bu why is it not: “God bless it, and all who sail in it”? Or even: “God bless him, and all who sail in him”? Some commentators (for example, Spender. 1980) have suggested that cars, as well as boats, are seen as female because they are objects of status that have traditionally been under the control of men. Certainly, the physical attractiveness of such objects is often at the forefront of descriptions, in the same way as women are often described in terms of their looks. For example, here is an extract from a news report on the de-commissioning of the Royal Yacht Britannia: “a ship which has given good faithful service for 44 years, and which is still as elegant now as when she was commissioned…..” (Radio 4 News, 12 noon, 10/12/97)

In Washington, politicians are beginning to recognise what some now describe as a "national crisis". A congressional hearing in July heard from experts in the field about what can be done to prevent deaths from child abuse. A national commission is being set up to coordinate a country-wide response. Many believe home visits to new parents by qualified health professionals, preparing them for the difficulties of family life, are key to that strategy. While child abuse blights the lives of victims' families, its devastating impact is felt far beyond relatives and friends. Abused children are 74 times more likely to commit crimes against others and six times more likely to maltreat their own children, according to the Texas Association for the Protection of Children. For this reason, experts believe it is in the US government's as well as society's interest to ensure children are protected from abuse. Each and every citizen, they say, has a responsibility to help break this cycle of violence. A statement from Mr Jobs's family said they were with him when he died peacefully on Wednesday. "In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family," they said, requesting privacy and thanking those who had "shared their wishes and prayers" during his final year. Apple said the company had "lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being". Tim Cook, who was made Apple's CEO after Mr Jobs stood down in August, said his predecessor had left behind "a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple". Flags are being flown at half mast outside the Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California, while fans of the company have left tributes outside Apple shops around the world. "What he's done for us as a culture, it resonates uniquely in every person," said Cory Moll, an Apple employee in San Francisco.

Our bodies are made up of trillions of tiny cells, the building blocks of life as we know it. So the death of our cells would seem to be a harmful event. However, scientists have discovered that as many as 100,000 cells die in the human body every second as the result of a natural, carefully controlled process known as "apoptosis”. This term is taken from Greek words meaning "falling or dropping off," indicating that, just like the leaves that fall from trees every autumn, the controlled death, or suicide, of cells is an essential part of our life cycle. But how is apoptosis regulated? It has been determined that cells are prompted to undergo apoptosis in response to signals originating both outside and within the cell itself. For example, when cell becomes damaged in some way, the body sends out substances to the cell that instruct it to begin apoptosis. Alternatively, if a cell experiences certain types of stress, caused by either viruses or radiation, it may initiate changes in itself that cause it to enter the death process. However, a cell does not have to be damaged or stressed to be selectively eliminated. Extraordinary numbers of cells must die, simply to allow the human body to develop naturally. Consider the formation of your fingers.
