添削というこのなので、ちょと辛目に、 まず全体として哲学的なことを表現するのに英語が幼稚過ぎ。 If you desire to achieve something もし適当な何かを達成したいと切望するなら 間違ってもsomethingは可笑しいでしょう。せめてone thing regretは後悔であって嘆きではない。 give up other things 日本文に比べてあまりにお手軽な単語選択では? なんでもいいから一個諦めればいいと取れます。 be ashamed to be laughed at ??? 嘲笑を意味する単語は山程あるのに、手抜きでしょう。 それにshould not be ashamedで恥ずかしいと思わないという意味になるわけないでしょ。 give up many things またしてもお手軽単語。 目的達成のために犠牲にする多くのことがmany thingsで片付けられるほど英語表現は単純じゃないでしょう。 achieve any great goal 偉大なゴールは大きな仕事じゃない。 と言うわけで、添削結果は全滅。 アドバイスとしては、英語力が足りないときに道徳や哲学的な内容は避けましょう。 結果として難しい言葉を使いきれずみじめでアンバランスな文になるか、必要以上に簡単な単語で片付けることになってしまいます。 例えば、受験合格をするためにゲームをあきらめるとか、そういう具体的な内容にしたほうが文も整うし、失点が少ないですよ。 別に試験官は受検者の思慮深さを試験しているのではないのですから。

Be動詞の使い方を質問した答えとして「Be動詞は助動詞の後につける」とありました。 a）We really shouldn't be here. ここにいてはいけない。 b）We really shouldn't be ashamed. 恥じることはない。 c）We really shouldn't stay up late. 夜更かししない方が良い。 上の3つの例文はどれも助動詞が入っているのにｃにだけBe動詞がつかないのはなぜですか？
