仕事の関係なのですが
イラストを海外の仕事 Ａ(仮名 会社、トレーディンカード系)でいただいて下記のような 別の会社からメールがきたのですが、 なにかあれば Ｂ会社からの商品に関するイラストを自分が依頼されて制作するのか側なのか、 いままでの自分のイラスト(Ａ社でやった仕事等)を 商品にしたければＢ会社がグッズ化の依頼を受けますよ....という文なのかわかりません。 お仕事の依頼かと 喜んだのですが、 考えてみる違うような....； (1)相手がこちらに仕事の依頼してくれるのか、 (2)単に自分が自分の絵を商品化するだけなのか分りません。(自分がＢ会社の商品に自分のイラストを印刷してグッズを作って販売することを Ｂに依頼する立場...といような グッズを作りに興味があればメールの返事ください) どなたか わかる方 教えてください。 I am writing this email as your name was provided to me by the Ａ team. ＞機会があればＢ社から出している商品に使ってくれるのでしたら 仕事の依頼まではいたっていないので、確かめてみないとわからない文面です。 having them commission は、委託をする ですが、 interested in が前にありますので、話たり依頼をしたり、と話をふっているだけです。 委託であって、依頼ではないことに注意。委託は、そういった要望（仕事）があるときに委託するということをほのめかしているだけです。 西欧には、単にアーティストの作品を並べるだけのサイトもありますので、まずは紹介されたサイトをよく見られたほうがいいと思います。 他のアーティストがどういう扱いをされているのか。（すでになにかの仕事で採用された作品が載っているとはかぎりません。こういうアーティストがいますよ、と受注経験がないアーティストの作品をダシに使っているだけのサイトもあります）

B社がA社から話を聞いて、あなたの作品を見てみたいと言っているのです。 B社が持っているストックアート、これは例えばウェブサイトなんかにカタログとして載せておいて、顧客から「これを使いたい」という依頼があったときに料金を取って貸し出す(与える）もの、これにあなたの作品を載せるのに興味があるか、というのが一つ。これがコミッション制なのでしょう。売れたら払う、という形式。 もう一つカスタム・アート、自社の作る製品に使うために新しく描くというのが一つ。 この二つに興味があるか、と聞いているのです。 ストックアートとは普通これから描くのではなく、すでに幾つも持っている(過去の作品で使用されていないもの）なんかを指します。 だから、あなたの作品を見ることの出来るウェブサイトはありますか?と相手は聞いているのです。 どちらにしろコピーライトの詳細とか(特にストックアートの場合買い切りが多いはず）を聞いてみるためにも、あなたが興味があるなら興味がある旨、どこであなたの作品を見ることが出来るか相手に伝えてみればよいと思います。

仕事の依頼ではなく、Ａチームからはなしを聞いて、問い合わせてきただけのようです。 そのメールのヘッダーを見て、Ａチームのだれかのメールアドレスも入っているなら、Ａ社も知っていると想像できます。 ただ、Ｂ社はＡの商品のランセンシー、つまりランセンすを授ける側ではなく、授けてもらっている側のようですので、立場としてはＡ社が上になると想像します。 その場合、あなたがＡ社との契約で、他社にあなたの作品を提供する上で問題がないか、Ａ社とのアグリーメントになにか記載がないか、確認はされたほうがいいと思います。

とても速く回答していただき どうもありがとうございます。 各自で グッズを作りたければ許可されているのですが、下記の部分が分らないのです。 We are interested in talking to Artists and having them commission some of their stock art and perhaps Custom art for our products i.e. ＸＸ; Portfolios; ＸＸＸＸＯ(グッズ類系). having them commission ....これが分らないのです； 私がＢ社に商品制作等を注文する？(絵のストック、またはグッズ用に描き起こして...なの) それとも？ Ｂ社がこっちにの絵を使ってくれる？ (1)契約書ではＡ社に連絡しとけば イラストレーターは、各自でグッズを作ってもいいので、Ａチームの人から話を聞いてグッズ商売の方が宣伝のために 興味があれば引き受けますと.. こちらにメールしてきたのか、 (2)Ａ社から、こんな人がいると話をきいて Ｂ社の商品に興味があれば 絵を見せてください。仕事 頼むかもしれないので...というメールなのかがわからないです...。 今回は、日本プロモーション用のイラストを制作したのですが、とても有名な方はグッズを作っているのですが、 私は そんなに有名ではないので自分でグッズ販売を展開することには興味はありません。 ですがＢ社がＡ社から話をきいて私のことに興味をもってくれて 機会があればＢ社から出している商品に使ってくれるのでしたら興味がある仕事です。 ここを間違えると 全然 違う内容になるので困っています。 早起きをなされたのでしょうか、 それとも今から床にはいるのでしょうか... もしよろしければ お返事ください。 どうもありがとうございました。

新たな仕事依頼の打診のようです。 始めの文は単に彼らがどの筋の会社なのかを紹介しているだけです。たまたまA社の商品の製造ライセンスを受けていたところから質問者を知ったということでしょう。 ２・３つ目が仕事依頼、といってもまず興味があるかどうか、出来ればWEBサイトで作品を見たいと...、分かりますよね。 新たにデザインを依頼するつもりかどうかは Perharpsとなっているので微妙でしょう。とりあえず返事して問い合わせてみてはどうでしょうか。

とても迅速にお返事していただき感動しています。 今から 寝てしまうところでしょうか... 打診なのは 分るのですが 分らないことが下記のところです。 どういう打診なのかなのです。 もう一人の方と同じ補足になりますが.... This has created and fed our desire to purchase a wider variety of goods. お返事ありがとうございます。 仕事の依頼にはいたっていなくて、とりあえずＨＰを見たいので...というのは分ってるのですが having them commission が 私がＢ社に委託とか注文するのではなく、 (having them commission --アーティストの注文を取る(得る、受ける)意味) Ｂ社が私に仕事を委託することが発生するかも....とふっているのでしたら 何の問題もありません。 (having them commission -- アーティストに注文する 意味) ＞他のアーティスト 全く 問題ありません。 大丈夫です。 日本で大きな有名タイトルを作っていても、フリーになったばかりで今受けてる仕事もまだ発表されてなく、現在 単独での仕事は無名に近い状態なので、 いくらＡ社からの仕事をしたからといって あまりに有名な人だけをあつかっているＢ社が、うまくいけば私に 仕事くれるかも...？というようなメールがきた.....というより 私の方がＢ社にグッズ作りを委託して..の方がまだ可能性があるか....思って悩んでました。 Ａ社で仕事した絵を、各自 グッズ作りを委託して販売する人はいると思うので...売れると思えるほど有名なら自分で出すのでしょうが、そうでない私は 向こうのほうから こちらに委託...という内容でないと..；ダメだな思ってました。
