＃１です。 英文を読むとき、明らかに副詞節であるのにwillが用いられている場合は、「そうか、この人は意志を表すためにあえてwillを使っているんだな」と解釈すればいいわけです。 それを書いている人が正しく英語を使いこなせる人だという前提で読む場合、そう読めばいいのです。 ただし、受験英語の場合は、受験者の中には英語のエキスパートもいれば、基本的な文法も解していないレベルの人もいるわけで、採点者としては「この人は正しい英語の使い手だ」という前提で答案を見るわけではないのです。 受験英語を採点する場合は、「学校で習った文法を正しく使えているのかどうか」という基準で見るのですから、副詞節のif節でwillが使ってあれば、 「この人は、副詞節中で未来形は用いないという文法規則を理解していない」という解釈をせざるを得ません。一人一人に面接して、「あなたは未来形としてwillをつかったのですか、それとも意志を表すためにwillをつかったのですか」と訊ねるわけにはいかないのです。 ですから、あくまで「受験英語で認められるか否か」という尺度で考える場合、やはり副詞節中のwillは間違いと考えていただくのが、一番無難ではないかと思います。

Do you know if it will be fine tomorrow? は、名詞節の中は未来形です（問題集より）。 では、「今日晴れるかどうかあなたは知っていましたか」の場合は Did you know if it would be fine today? でしょうか？今日のことを言っているので Did you know if it is fine today? かなとも思いましたが、時制の一致の関係でやっぱり違いますよね？ また、「あなたは昨日沖縄は晴れだったかどうか知っていますか」は Do you know if it was fine in Okinawa yesterday? で、合ってますか？ 名詞節はその前の動詞の時制が過去だったら名詞節も過去にするけど、その前の動詞が現在の時制の場合は名詞節は過去にも現在にでも未来の時制にもなりうる、という理解、あってるのでしょうか？ 自信ないので自信ある方、教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

以下の例文についての質問となります。 You will realize, before you graduate, that you need money for whatever it is you want to do. 学生でいる間に、何かをやりたければまずお金がいるということを、自分の体験を通じて学ぶだろう。 whatever 以下はfor の目的語なので名詞節なのはわかります。 この節が whatever it is you want to do ではなく whatever you want to do なら 「やりたい事は何でも」それに対してお金が必要だ と理解できるのですが、 この it is の文法的な説明と必要性がよく分かりません。 どなたかお分かりになられる方がいらっしゃいましたらご教授下さい。 お願い致します。

英文を読んでいるとこんな文章に出合いました。文脈は、ある男性が、ある女性に向かって、「君の望みを３つ叶えてあげるよ」と言います。それに対して、女性はこう言います。 "No, two will do. One is for you realize how grateful I am that you came to see me here. I hope you will understand how happy you've made me. I know it's going to save me if anything will." 問題の箇所まで訳すと「二つで十分よ。ひとつは、あなたがこうして会いに来てくれたことに対して、私はすごい感謝しているんだという事を分かって欲しいの。あなたのお蔭で、私がどれぐらい幸せになったかという事を分かってほしいわ」 次です。たぶん「救われるのよ」みたいな感じだと思うのですが、if anything will の部分がよく分かりません。will のない、if anything はよく見るので、「どちらかといえば、むしろ」という意味で、「（幸せというよりも）むしろ、救われるのよ」とすれば意味は通ります。 この will は一体何なのでしょうか？if 節中に will が使われてるのも引っかかります。if 節中に特別な場合を除いて、will は使われない。とされているからです。特別な場合とは、「If you will wash the dishes, I will put the children to bed （あなたが食器を洗ってくれれば, 私が子供をねかしつけます）」 のように、「意志」を表すときです。anything は生き物ではないので意志はありません。どう訳せばいいのでしょうか？どうぞ、お力を貸してください。よろしくお願いします。

おはようございます。 "If"の使い方についてアドバイスをよろしくお願いします。 条件などを表す場合"If"節中の動詞は現在形にする。主節にはWill,may,mightを使う・・・と習いました。 しかし次のような英文を見つけました。 If you will get the book,I promise to do everything you said. ネット検索して「If節中でWillが使われるのは丁寧な言い回し」だとありましたが、これは本当でしょうか？ それと主節に助動詞が使われていないのはなぜでしょうか？ どうかよろしくお願いします。
