以下のとおりお答えします。 ＞プロの英文校正者(英語ネイティブ)が作成した文章の一部に"It is important point to consider whether stable cycles exist."の文があったので すが，important pointの前にanが無いのは，校正者のミスでしょうか？ ⇒「ＩＭＰＯＲＴＡＮＴ pointの前にanが無いのは，校正者のミス」という可能性がゼロではありませんが、このような文は間違いであるとも言い切れないと思います。形容詞の表す「質」のみを強調したい場合、このような無冠詞にすることがあるからです。具体的に言えば、important pointのうちの名詞pointに重点がなく、もっぱら形容詞importantに焦点が当たっているといった感じです。 It is important (point) to consider whether stable cycles exist. 「安定したサイクルが存在するかどうか、ということが重要（なポイント）になります。」 のように、名詞pointの存在感が相対的に低くなります。 なお、このような現象は、当該名詞がもっぱら補語になる場合で、これが主語や目的語になる場合はあまり見られないように思います。

その文章は正しいか正しくないか確信がない文章です。 この文章を英語にしたときThe sentence is one that I am not sure whether is correct or not. という文章にしました。ネイティブの先生に添削してもらったところ、whether it is correct or notと添削されました。 そこで質問なのですが、 whether is correctにしたのは、連鎖関係代名詞でone that としたので、 the man who I thought was honestみたいな感じでit をぬかしたのですが、that節の時は主語を抜かしましたが、whetherのあとは連鎖関係代名詞とか関係ないのでしょうか？ もしwhether it isになるなら、is one thatのthatは～というthatのthatと考えていいのでしょうか？ ご教授下さい
