私は私が後に入社する事になる会社の社長に紹介された。という文は I was introduced to a president of the company which I was going to join later.でいいのでしょうか。 １、which以下はwas going to joinとするべきなのか、 would joinとすべきなのかどちらがいいのでしょうか。（正しいのでしょうか。） ２、後に、というのはlaterでいいのでしょうか。subsequently や afterward という単語を使っても大丈夫でしょうか。 ３、前述の１、２を踏まえて冒頭の訳として最も相応しい口語訳を教えて下さい。（ネイティブならこう言うだろうという生きた表現を教えて下さい。） 宜しくお願い致します。

- 助動詞"be to"の問題です。
助動詞be toに関する質問です。 「彼はエンピツを買っておけば良かったのに。」を”be to have p.p”を使って、 He was to have bought some pencils. という文があったのですが、この場合”should have p.p”と同意と書かれていました。そこで疑問なのですが、 He was to buy some pencils. としても同じ意味になるのではないかと思ったのです。 調べたところ The international conference was to be held in February this year. 「その国際会議は今年２月に開催されるはずだった」となっており”be to”のみで「はずだった」となっていてますます分からなくなりました。 どなたか、ご回答お願いします。

This was a reference to the very idealistic views of Wilson on the one hand and the stark realism of Clemenceau, who was determined to see Germany punished.

There's been a lot of times though in the band situation where there's been some deep wounds. Like that press conference they put together in 1996, after canceling three shows. The same stuff was going on with certain members of the band, that I was doing at that time. That was that time, I'm not making an excuse for it, it was a horrible time in my life. As well there were a lot of great things going on in my life, but that part of it was miserable. But I don't think at all that there needed to be a press conference to out me publicly, that was my own business.
