book off work

We have a lovely landlord who is okay with me paying rent half at a time, twice a month, because I just can’t do it all at once. We’ve also entered a debt-management program (because I made us the appointment and told him which day to book off work), which thankfully has rescued us from a bunch of consumer debt, book off workとはどのような意味でしょうか?

book off work = book + off work

たとえば "I work in an apparel industry." 「アパレル業界で働いています」 "I work for a travel agency." 「旅行会社で働いています」 "I work at a car factory."

We have been busy with preparing for a new chip that we will receive today. After that we will be very busy validating our new chip. Actually I have asked my team to come to work this weekend. At first I didn't know there was a public holiday on Monday. Maybe that's why they were a bit angry at me? Or at least unhappy. But much worse ... I think I might have made you unhappy as well because I need to work this weekend. Actually there is another holiday in August ... 3 days + weekend I think, some of those days we will work as well :( Right now we have a busy period because we received new chip and towards the end of August it will also be busy because then we need give a release to our customer. Please don't think I don't want to see you, ok?

A bunch of wild myrtle hung at the window will keep the flies away. I go happily along with her, sometimes running ahead and waiting for her to catch me up, sometimes carrying her basket for her. (前回の終わりの部分です) We walk for a long time, further than I have ever been before; I can’t see our house any longer, and the countryside around us is full of the sounds of crickets and the quieter, daytime cicadas. We pass a few derelict buildings, and two which clearly still have people living in them: in the fenced-in yard of one, a big brown dog raises his head gently from where he is lying in the shade, but doesn’t seem able to work up the enthusiasm to bark at us. At last, just as Lena is saying that maybe we should be heading back, I see a bridge ahead of us in the dirt road. ‘Lena – a bridge!’ She smiles. ‘Go on, then.’ She smiles. ‘Go on, then.’
