これだけでは想像を入れざるをえないのですが、baseはガスタービンを取り付ける基礎、基底、基盤のようなものかと思います。そうすると、 Alignment of Gas Turbine to Base

A preparatory bombardment began at 2:12 a.m. on 3 July, against the same targets as 1 July but with the addition of the artillery of the 19th Division. Assembly trenches had been dug, which reduced the width of no man's land from 800–500 yards (730–460 m) at its widest. Two brigades of the 12th Division attacked at 3:15 a.m., with the left covered by a smoke-screen. Red rockets were fired immediately by the Germans and answered by field and heavy artillery barrages on the British assembly, front line and communication trenches, most of which were empty as the British infantry had moved swiftly across no man's land. The four attacking battalions found enough gaps in the German wire, to enter the front trench and press on to the support (third) trench but German infantry "pour[ed]" out of dug-outs in the first line, to counter-attack them from behind.

海外の顧客から送られてきた不具合対策書です。 やや専門的な表現もあるかと思いますが、大体のニュアンスがつかめればいいので お力をお貸しください。 Examination of returned connector found a wrong standard wire seal has been assembled into one side of connector. Diagnostic review of assembly processes and controls revealed connectors requiring standard grommets and reduced grommets are assembled on the same assembly line in succession. Potential for condition was found during purging of components from previous job prior to beginning next job. This process did not include the floor and relied on operators to put components found dropped onto the floor and reduced wire grommet should not be mixed in connector. SHORT TERM CORRECTIVE ACTION Quality alert issued 100% additional inspection / re-inspection of work-in-process, components inventories & staging areas to verify no mixed grommets. Results = zero defects found. Verified stockroom locations for both grommets not in close proximity to cause mixing. Verified red rejection bins at assembly process for discarding of wrong components. Certify shipments to customer with a green dot applied to shipping carton until completion of analysis. Update photo visual aid at assembly process clearly depicting a standard wire seal and a reduced wire seal should not be mixed in connector. Review with all assembly operators for comprehension and responsibility. Inclusion of Manufacturing floor around assembly area to purging process to prevent condition. Review with set-up operators for comprehension and responsibility of proper purging of components to include floor, prior to beginning next job. Update work instructions for above changes. 長文で恐縮ですが何卒お願いいたします。

The attack was to begin at 5:30 am on Easter Monday, 9 April 1917. The attack was originally planned for the morning of 8 April (Easter Sunday), but it was postponed for 24 hours at the request of the French. According to the first and most comprehensive book by a Canadian veteran of the battle, Eberts Macintyre, "It was nauseating to contemplate the horrors that the representatives of two Christian nations would inflict on each other at the time of the Easter festival each believing that he was in the right." During the late hours of 8 April and early morning of 9 April the men of the leading and supporting wave of the attack were moved into their forward assembly positions. The weather was cold and later changed to sleet and snow. Although physically discomforting for everyone, the north-westerly storm provided some advantage to the assaulting troops by blowing snow in the faces of the defending troops. Light Canadian and British artillery bombardments continued throughout the prior night but stopped in the few minutes before the attack, as the artillery recalibrated their guns in preparation for the synchronized barrage. At exactly 5:30 am, every artillery piece at the disposal of the Canadian Corps began firing.

At 5:00 a.m., German artillery began a high-explosive, shrapnel and trench-mortar bombardment, on the front of the 16th Division and the right flank of the 15th Division to the north, laid a barrage on communication trenches and fired lacrymatory shells into villages and British rear positions. At 5:10 a.m., gas and smoke clouds rose from the German trenches and moved towards the British trenches, blown by a south-easterly wind. The gas cloud was so thick at the beginning, that visibility was reduced to 2–3 yards (1.8–2.7 m); wearing gas helmets was necessary 3.5 miles (5.6 km) behind the front line and the smell was noticed 15 miles (24 km) away.
