without を使った英作についてお願いします
もしあの時、飛行機が救助にきてくれなかったら、君とこうしてお茶を飲んではいられないだろう。 （「来て」のニュアンスをだす書き方で） without air rescue's coming for us , I would not be having tea with you now. これは可能でしょうか？ どうぞよろしくおねがいいたします。

１。これは可能でしょうか？ 可能です。ただ air だけでは、「空からの」救助なので、原文の「飛行機」だけではなく、他のものも入ります。 ２。Unless the rescue plane came at that time, I won't be having tea with you now. But for the timely arrival of the rescue plane, we won't be here together, enjoying tea. Without the rescue plane arriving on the scene at the right time, we won't be having this tea now. など

可能は可能ですが、無理やりな感じがします。英文としては違和感があります。また、右側の時制は修正が必要です。 > without air rescue's coming for us , I would not be having tea with you now. withoutで仮定法を置き換える時には、シンプルに短くするのが目的なので、この使い方はできたとしてもあまり意味が無いと思います。 せいぜいWithout the rescue by the plainとか。良く使われるのは、Without your helpとかで、動詞を動名詞かして使おうとすると名詞句が長くなり、Withoutの効能が薄れてしまいます。 それから右の文の時制は要注意。左で仮定法過去を置き換えているのであれば、右も過去形でないといけないのですがwould not be havingはこれからどうなるかわからないことについて言っています。そうすると、 I couldn't have tea with you like this とかI wasn't able to have tea with you like you. が良いと思います。

アメリカのネットショップで小物を購入しようとしています。値引きの事で質問しているのですがすみませんが意味を教えて下さい。 以前も購入したお店で、以前は15％の値引きをしてもらっていました。 If you start placing regular orders with us then we should be able to change the discount amount to 15%.
