２文とも問題ありません、普通に使われています。 １）原因の推量 The plants died その植物は死んだ， because no one must have watered them. 誰も水をやらなかったことがその理由に違いない． ２）結果の推量 The plants must have died その植物は死んだに違いない， because no one watered them なぜなら誰も水遣りをしなかったのだから．

「you died」と「you have died」のニュアンスの違いが分かりません。 「死んだ」と「死んでしまっている」の違いなのですか？ have+過去分詞は継続を表しますが、そもそも「死」に継続なんてわざわざする必要あるのでしょうか？

- must have ppとmustの文の違いがわかりません
mustは絶対そうだよとか、絶対しなきゃという感覚でいます。 have toはしたくないけどしなきゃなぁという感覚でいます。 とある例文に He must have been there then. （彼はその時そこにいたはずだ。） これは、その時そこにいたに違いないと同じだと思います。 なのでmust be there thenと同じ文にはならないのですか？ mustの過去のmust have ppの使い方がよくわかりません。

you continue because not only are you determined, you're confident that this is something you want to do.という文の not only are you determinedの文のつくりが、全く理解不能です。not only because you are determinedだったら納得がいくけど..自分は独学で英語を勉強しているので、こういう文法のつくり方とかの知識がまったくないので、まったく理解できないです。こういう文法はどのような名前の文法なのか、また普通の 文でなく、こういうふうな並べ方で文をつくることでのニュアンスの違いなどを知りたいです。 だれか、知恵をわけてください！
