似たようなことなのですが、考え方が逆です。 つまり、西アフリカでエボラの治療経験をもつ医師は何人もいます。加藤医師はその中の一人にすぎません。ですから "a doctor ... in West Africa..." です。 もし、西アフリカに医師が一人しかおらず、それが加藤医師であったならば、"... the doctor who was in West Africa to fight Ebla....." になります。

War was against the interest of the white colonialists because they were small in number, many of the European conquests were recent, unstable and operated through existing local structures of power and the organisation of African economic potential for European profit had only recently begun.
