ひよこの雌雄鑑別がうまくいくことは，当面，思い出すことのできない名前や夢を思い出そうとすることに 少し似ている。一生懸命しようとすればするほど，うまくいく more / うまくいかない less 公算が強い。 ひよこの雌雄鑑別ってどういう性質のものかなかなか想像できませんが， だからそこ like ～「～のよう」と一般的にわかりやすくたとえているわけです。 当面，思い出すことのできない名前や夢を思い出そうとすること これって，「一生懸命しようと思えばするほど」 うまくいかない，と普通に感じると思います。 だから，the 比較級, the 比較級「～すればするほど，～」で， successful を逆向きにする less がふさわしいです。

“net sales” shall mean the invoice price billed by A company to its customers less. という文で、これは「“純売上高”はA社によって顧客へ発行された請求額を除く。」って感じであってるのでしょうか？？ 直訳していくとLessの意味がどんどん訳がわからなくなってきたので、誰か助けて下さい！！

「医者になりたければ、もっと熱心に勉強しなさい」 と、いう意味になるように↓の語句を並びかえたいのですが、 （want/be/you/you/study/if/must/to/a doctor/harder） If you want to be a doctor,までは出来ました。その後はどうすれば良いのかが分かりません。 解答は、～you must study harder.と、なっていたのですが、理解できません。並びかえだから当り前、この中の語句を使って文をつくりますけど、なぜmustがあるのでしょうか？ 日本文には、「もっと熱心に勉強しなさい」と命令してますよね。 命令文にしなくてもいいのですか？ 「勉強しなさい＝勉強しなければならない」とも考えたのですが、だとしたら、なぜ最後にhardじゃなくて比較級のharderなのでしょうか？ どなたか教えてください。お願いします。
