以下の文で、alterとthat以下の文の関係がピンときません。alterを変更するまたは変えると解釈すると THAT以下の意味と合わない感じがします。また、CUES以下の文の構造がはっきりしません。 reminiscentは形容詞で、前のa musical snippetを後ろから修飾しているのでしょうか。解説をお願いいたします。 I push a button that illuminates the deep-blue LED dashboard, which alters me that I have 84 miles' worth of charge and cues a musical snippet reminiscent of "The Jetsons."

１。 これは、alter ではなくて、下記のように alert ではないでしょうか。 http://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=alert ２。cue は、述語で、 musical 以下がその目的語です。

The thinking goes like this: to avoid a judgment of themselves that could be damaging to their self worth, they just avoid completing the task. 上記の文ですが、直訳すると 遅れる（ぐずぐずする）人々は、彼らの仕事と、疑わしい技術力で、自尊心を築いている。 この考えを推し進めると:自身の（能力の）ジャッジを避けることは、彼らの自尊心を傷つけているかもしれない。彼らはただ、仕事を完了することを避けているだけなのだ。 となるのですが、どうもto avoid a judgment of themselves that could be damaging to their self worth, they just avoid completing the task.がピンとこないというか・・・。 thatが途中にあるということの意味がいまいちわかりません・・・ つまり、to avoid a judgment of themselves がＳということでしょうか？それとも関係代名詞のthat?
