求人情報で「This highly visible role is ...」と表記されているものをよく見かけますが、「highly visible」とはどのような意味でしょうか？

下記の辞書を見ると 1) conspicuous 2) well-known とあります。

1) には play a highly visible role in the negotiations という例が、また 2) には a highly visible politician という例が出ています。
