下記の文章がなぜこのように訳せるのか？理解出来ません。 Reader put this matter to a test. テキスト訳：読者には以下のテストを試して欲しい。 ------------------- put this matterで試して欲しいとなるのが、辞書を調べても理解出来ません。 よろしくお願いします。

これを読者に呼びかけた命令文として Reader! Put this matter to a test.「読者のみなさん！ これをテストしてみてください」 なら可能です。 Reader put this matter to a test. は何だか気の抜けた生温いビール見たいな感じがします。
