大至急この英文を直訳して下さい。
“Ｉ hope you don't mind me asking this,But Ｉ have your cat?”said the dealer. の直訳が出来ません。 あと、どの単語が、どの意味になるかも詳しく教えて下さい。 ちなみに自分は、 Ｉ→私 hope→希望 you→あなた don't→否定 mind→気持ち me→私 asking→尋ねる this→これ But→しかし Ｉ→私 have→持っている your→あなた cat→猫 said→言う the dealer→骨董屋 と訳しました。

単語を一つ一つ訳して、それをつなげても一連の文章の正確な意味にはならない、あるいは極めて分かりにくいことがよくあります。英単語にはそれぞれ2つ以上の意味があるのが普通ですし、まして直訳、なんてのは逆に難しい。 “Ｉ hope you don't mind me asking this, But Ｉ have your cat?”said the dealer. 「これをあなたにお尋ねしてもお気になさらないといいんですが・・・、私のところにあなたの猫がいる、ですって？」と業者は言った。 dealerを骨董屋とはちょっと考え過ぎですね。文字通り、販売業者とか卸売業者などの意味があります。前後の文がないので何とも断言できませんが、ペットショップ経営者のことでしょう。
