長くてすいません。 翻訳をお願いします。 The first electric bicycle with battery-powered motors hit the market in November 1993. Their motors took 50% of the hard work out of pedalling a bicycle. However, weighing 31 kg and costing \149,000, early models were too heavy and expensive to become popular. Thanks to new technology, however, newer versions (weigh) just 20kg and costing \69,800 have become more popular recently. Instead of the 10 hours needed to recharge the battery on early models, a two-hour charge is now enough for riders to travel nearly 30 kilometres. Because of the motor, cyclists can climb hills and mountain roads much more easily than before. Sales of electric bicycles reached 220,000 units in 1997, but dropped to just 150,000 in 2000. Since then, sales have gone up again to about 200,000 per year. Bicycling Magazine predicts that in five or six years, about 10% of all bicycles (sell) in Japan will be electric. That’s about 1 million bikes a year. As companies make more of these bikes, prices will drop, and sales will continue to increase. Several cities have already begun looking for ways to encourage people (use) these environmentally friendly bicycles instead lf motorbikes. The city of Iwata in Shizuoka Prefecture, for example, pays up to \20,000 of the cost of buying an electric bicycle. It also rents out 70 electric bicycles at \200 a day, and provides three solar-powered recharging stations for free. Niitsu City in Niigata Prefecture also pays part of the cost of buying an electric bicycle. “It’s a good solution for everybody,” city officials say. “The project brings customers bcd to local shops that don’t have enough parking space for cars.”

For example, if the electric company represented a bill as bits instead of a printed sheet of paper, it could send it to you as email so that it would reach you within minutes, instead of in the mail after many days. If you could pay your bills using bits in email, you could program your computer to pay your bills automatically when they became due. If everyone were to use computer networks to pay their bills, we would no longer need to cut down millions of trees for bills, envelopes, and stamps! It would also make life easier for the electric company, the bank, and you. 翻訳お願いします。

Between 1564 and 1859, the city was the capital of Moldavia; then, between 1859 and 1862, both Iași and Bucharest were de facto capitals of the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia. In 1862, when the union of the two principalities was recognized under the name of Romania, the national capital was established in Bucharest. For the loss caused to the city in 1861 by the removal of the seat of government to Bucharest the constituent assembly voted 148,150 lei to be paid in ten annual instalments, but no payment was ever made. During World War I, Iași was the capital of a severely reduced Romania for two years, following the Central Powers' occupation of Bucharest on 6 December 1916. The capital was returned to Bucharest after the defeat of Imperial Germany and its allies in November 1918. In November–December 1918 Iași hosted the Jassy Conference.

We provide a discount from the RRP and in return we ask the retailer to sign into our terms and conditions/marketing agreement, pay for freight, take a minimum stock order per brand that we distribute with payment taken prior to the shipping of goods. In order to accommodate this option we generally ask the retailer to ensure that they have an English speaking employee to handle order processing and that orders are consolidated as much as possible. 2. Retail distribution via territory wholesaler - for this option the retailer is given roughly the same discount as option 1 (after freight and duty costs) but the English speaking employee is not required and order minimum/frequency can be agreed with the wholesaler 3. Wholesale distribution - we offer this option to businesses that have a sales team, warehousing and an existing client base relevant to our product ranges. For this option we provide a larger discount from the RRP (to accommodate the sales infrastructure investment) and in return we ask the organisation to visit us to discuss distribution and sign our wholesale distribution agreement, pay for freight, take a much larger minimum stock order per brand that we distribute with payment taken prior to the shipping of goods and purchase an agreed amount of stock per year. I look forward to hearing how your current supply works and your thoughts on the supply options above.

Germany had long sought to incite a war between Mexico and the U.S., which would have tied down American forces and slowed the export of American arms to the Allies. The Germans had engaged in a pattern of actively arming, funding and advising the Mexicans, as shown by the 1914 Ypiranga Incident and the presence of German advisors during the 1918 Battle of Ambos Nogales. The German Naval Intelligence officer Franz von Rintelen had attempted to incite a war between Mexico and the United States in 1915, giving Victoriano Huerta $12 million for that purpose. The German saboteur Lothar Witzke — responsible for the March 1917 munitions explosion at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in the Bay Area, and possibly responsible for the July 1916 Black Tom explosion in New Jersey — was based in Mexico City. The failure of United States troops to capture Pancho Villa in 1916 and the movement of President Carranza in favor of Germany emboldened the Germans to send the Zimmermann note.

New York City has a special personality. It's the home of thousands of artists, singers, and celebrities from a great variety of backgrounds. More than 50 million tourists travel there each year to enjoy the amazing sights and sounds. With so much to offer, it’s easy to see why the city’s nickname is the Big Apple. New York City has long had an important place in American history. For millions of immigrants in the 19th and 20th centuries, it was their point of entry into the USA. Greeting them was the Statue of Liberty, a gift from France to the USA in 1886. The city is also the home of the United Nations, the New York Stock Exchange, and the offices of many international companies. The city is made up of five sections, or “boroughs”: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Although the city is spread out, its 8.4 million residents can easily get around on the subway system, which has 26 routes and 468 stations. Every year, more than 1.6 million riders use the system. There is plenty to see and do in the city that never sleeps. People love visiting the Empire State Building, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center. Plus, there are great museums like the Met and MoMA. Attending shows on Broadway, enjoying concerts at Lincoln Center, taking in games at famous stadiums, and eating at fancy restaurants are also popular with locals and tourists. Many of these activities are expensive, as are hotels. Spending $300 a night in Manhattan is common. But one of the best things about New York City is free- walking around interesting neighborhoods like Greenwich Village and Chinatown. Each neighborhood has its own character, but they all have one thing in common. Though their residents may come from many countries and cultures, they’re all proud to call themselves New Yorkers.
