英語の詩の韻律教えてください！！「蛍の光」原曲
英詩の韻律に詳しい人、教えてください！ 蛍の光の原曲「Auld Lang Syne」の韻律分析をしたらどうなるのか知りたいです。 強勢（ストレス）やリズムを特に。ここは強く、ここは弱く、リズム（ビート？）など。。 Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind? 済みません、詳しく調べればなにか出てくるとは思いますが、思いつくままに… Should auld acquaintance be forgot, 弱 強 弱 強 弱 強 弱 強 And never brought to mind? 弱 強 弱 強 弱 強 ざっと読めばすぐ弱強格iambicだと分かりますね。 また、奇数スタンザは8音節ー5音節ー8音節ー4音節となっています。 八歩格octameterでしたっけ？ 歩格の確定の仕方が頭に残っていないので、お尋ねが授業がらみでしたらテキストで確認してみてください。偶数スタンザもまた別の音節組み合わせになっています。 あと、各スタンザともに2行目と4行目の行末が韻を踏んでいます。 私はThe Da Vinci Codeを読んだときにiambic pentameterの謎解きがたくさん出てきたので、そこで始めてこういう詩の要素を知りました。という次第で、この程度しかお役に立てません。がんばってくださいね。

少々長いのですが、以下の和訳をお願いします。 翻訳サイトも試みましたが、いまいちピンと来なかったので…。 "It Couldn't Be Done" Somebody said that it couldn't be done, but he with a chuckle replied, that "maybe it couldn't"but he would be one who wouldn't say so till he tried. so he buckled right in with the trace of a grin on his face. If he worried he hid in,he started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done and he did it. Somebody scoffed:"Oh,you'll never do that;at least no one has ever done it" But he took off his coat and he took off his hat. And the first thing we know he'd begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin without any doubting or stopping he started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done and he did it. There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure; There are thousands to point out to you one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you.
