「合算」という言葉の英訳で迷っています。 システムの英訳を担当しております。何度かこちらでもお世話になっておりますが、皆様のご回答を参考にさせて頂いております。ありがとうございます。 このシステムは、在庫管理データです。保留している在庫情報を更新するという内容です。 システムでは、このような入力欄があります。 保留中の在庫数はすでに表示されていて、ギャップと移動数量だけを記入するという操作の画面です。 Suspend Stock = 保留中の在庫 Warehouse ＝在庫している倉庫 Suspend Qty ＝ 保留中の在庫 IC Gap ＝ ギャップ(保留している在庫から、移動数量を引いた数) Move Stock Qty ＝移動数量 そこで、この画面の操作法の説明を考えています。 （和文） 倉庫の選択、ギャップ・移動数量を入力します。 入力後Ｎｅｘｔを押して下さい。 エラー条件 1.元数量(保留している在庫の数量）よりギャップ・移動を合算した数量の方が大きい場合 （私の考えた英文） Enter and select Warehouse,I C Gap and Move Stock Qty. An error will occur. 1.The total amount of IC Gap and Move Stock Qty is more than Suspend Stock. それで、AとBを合算したという表現ですが、”The total amount of ～” で適切でしょうか？totalではなく、sumのほうが自然でしょうか？ お詳しい方のご意見を頂ければ幸いです。 よろしくお願いします。 もし、この説明がわかりにくければ、補足いたしますのでおっしゃってください。

個別の数値の意味が不明ですので、それぞれの数値にA,B,C...と名前を付けました。 倉庫Aの選択、ギャップB・移動数量Cを入力します。入力後Ｎｅｘｔを押して下さい。 Select A and Enter the following values B and C (to the field in question). After entering them, press the "Next" (button or link). 1.元数量D(保留している在庫の数量）よりギャップD・移動Eを合算した数量の方が大きい場合エラーが発生します。 1. If the sum of D and E is larger than D, an error will take place. ()内はデータを入れるべき場所を指示する必要があるだろうなと思いまして、記載しました。
