海外でクレジットカードを使用して買い物しました すると The credit card needs to be verified with the bank, not the customer. To expedite this matter you can provide us with the bank 800 number. という返信がきました bank 800 numberの意味がわからないのですが、これはどういう意味ですか？

　これはアメリカの話ですか？ 　でしたら、1－800－7桁が普通銀行とか、会社とかが持っている、遠距離でもかける方は無料、かけられる方に電話料の請求が行く、番号です。これを 800 number と言います。 　ですから、もしお使いになったクレジットカードを出している銀行がアメリカ以外なら、無料でその銀行にかかる番号を教えてくれ、と言うことだと思います。

はい、アメリカのサイトからオンラインで買いました。 カード発行の銀行は日本の銀行です。 やはり電話番号ということなのでしょうか。 ありがとうございます！

800はフリーダイヤルで使われる番号ですから、電話番号のたぐいではないですか？ you can provide us withとありますし。

ありがとうございます。 私も最初電話番号かな？と思ったのですが、なぜ必要なのかよくわからず だんだん意味がわからなくなってしまいました。 やはり番号ということなのですよね！ ありがとうございます。
