どうして "a" がつかない？

waterやmilkなど数えない名詞にはaを付けません．coffeeもその仲間です． 悩むより「そうなんだあ」とhave coffeで覚える方が役に立ちますよ． こだわり好きなら，カップに入れてa cup of coffeと数えることもできますし，不可算名詞も種類で分けることを強調する場合は「a」をつけたりしますよ． 簡単な質問はいいですね．

飲み物には定冠詞がつかないんじゃなかったかな？ 1個2個って固体と違って数えられないから。 なので、コーヒー一杯（a cup of coffee）のように数えられるようになれば「a」がつくんじゃなかったっけ？

そうそう、ちょうど、a cup of coffee という文がでてきた後だったので、 何で good coffeeにはつかないの？ これだって、一杯の良いコーヒーじゃない？と 思ったら、訳が分からなくなってしまったのでした。 コーヒーを一杯飲むという時に a cup of coffeeで 質問のようにコーヒーが飲める場所みたいな時は、不要ですね。 ありがとうございます！

水とか一個二個と数えられない名詞には a/anを付けようがない(つけれない)と言う事です。 コーヒーも液体ですから。 あくまでも基本と言う事で。

名詞には必ず"a"か”the”をつける呪縛から、今だ逃れられず、 ふとこの文章で固まってしまっていました。 液体だから数えられない！そうでした。 ありがとうございます！
